Pure Beer Insanity From Princeton’s Liquors
The subject on the email from Bill at Princeton’s Liquors arrived with the subject line “Pure Insanity!!!!” The beer deals are in bold:
Hey all beer freaks,
Tis my time of year!!!! 90 degrees…hight humidity…I LOVE IT BABY!!!! So to welcome summer in, I went nutz and brought in some of the hardest to find beers in this state(with the help of my buddy Brad the beer guy). Brad was generous enough to say “You pick some beers off this list, and I will do my best to get them to you”. Well old Bradley came through with some outstanding, very limited things. I will go down the list, with a quick description, price and number of bottles available at the store. If anyone wants me to set one aside for them, I will do a first email first serve type of thing. So here goes nothing.
Mikkeller Black $16.99/12.7 ounce:This bad boy is so rare, I can’t find barely any info on it. So here is what I got: It is a stout and 17.5% alcohol. 12 available
Mikkeller It’s Alive $15.99/750 ml:Once again, not much info I could find on this. It is in the Belgian Wild Ale style(or so it says on the bottle). It has also been referred to as a Bagian Pale Ale. I guess you can’t put it in 1 category. 8% alcohol 6 available.
De Molen SSS Triple Stout $8.99/750ml:Ok seriously, I can’t find info on these beers. It say’s on the bottle This beer will be good for 5 years and only 696 bottles were made. That means 116 6 packs cases were made, I got one. 6 bottles available
Cantillon Classic Organic Gueuze $8.99/12.7 ounce:Ok this is possibly the rarest of them all. Quick description:Lambic, which is the base for the making of Gueuze, is a spontaneous fermentation beer. All beers made with Lambic are naturally sour, but some will be more sour, more bitter or “softer” than the others. The Gueuze is the result of a well-considered blending of Lambics of different ages and with different tastes. 12 bottles available.
So there you go folks, some damn good beers that you will have a hard time finding. Not to say you can’t find them, but at almost $4 a gallon, you might not want to start driving around knowing I have them.
Anyone interested in me setting some bottles aside email me at
Bill@princetonsliquors.com and let me know what you want.
Ok, so for those of you that don’t know yet, Flat Earth is back and bottled. I have got 3 styles in. Their Belgian Pale Ale, Element 115(California Common) and Angry Planet(organic pale ale). Hopefully more to come, but right now that is it. They are being slightly allocated, so I did not receive a ton. You will see them in the cooler in 22 ounce bottles.
July is coming soon, that being said, a new Beer of the Month will be starting. Drum roll please………LEFT HAND SIX PACK BOTTLES AND LEFT HAND 12 PACK SAMPLER!!!!!! I will be running them all month!!! Buy 2 six packs for $14.49 or buy on the 12 pack samplers for $14.49. The six packs usually go for $8.99. So by purchasing 2, you are saving $1.75 a six pack. The samplers have a few beers not available to us in six packs in MN, so those should be a bit item. So Come July 1st, come and get your Left Hand products and enjoy!!!!
Ok, last but not least, I want to thank everyone who attended the beer dinner at Rush Creek. I had a blast!!!! For those that did not, you might want to re think that. Brad and Rush Creek put on a great show. Brad is already contacted both Robin and I about doing another one in October. The price will be going up, but from what I gathered from everyone there, that is ok. When more info starts floating in, I will let everyone know and start reserving spots.
Thanks again.
Ok, that is it for this one. Keep an eye out for more emails announcing more new beers entering our beautiful state.
Thanks again for caring about great beer,
Bill
